Some day I should think through the dangers of over-specialization.
To a point, specialization is among the most remarkable aids to mankind
but carried too far it can make mere units of us. It is particularly
bad when it takes over a responsibility like the parent has for the edu
cation of the child or when we let it take over the art of cooking or
even thinking.
