The Diary The diary is a personal register of events, experiences and observations during my captivity. It was written during a voyage from Egypt to South Africa and from there to San Francisco and, finally, during my stay in various camps in the u.s. Altogether it comprises 53 pages of simple descriptions of events and reflec tions of a prisoner of war.
